The Austin Carter Round-up days,
Band Promo Photos

The Austin Carter Roundup was probably the pinacle of bands that Todd was a member of. The band consisted of Kenn Anderson(guitar and vocals), Jason Klagstad(guitar and vocals), Derick Procell(keyboards and vocals), Todd Galanter(bass and vocals) and Keith Collis(drums). ACR was an evolution from a predecessor band, Winks; in that Todd, Jason and Keith had all come from Winks to ACR. By now all of these guys had honed their musical skills to a very high level, and were all fine musicians in their own right, but as a group they were nothing short of awesome. As is true in most things in life, the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts, and that was certainly true for ACR.

Country rock was the popular music of the day, and groups like Eagles, Poco, The Byrds, etc. were very much in the forefront. Fortunately one of the strong suits of ACR was the ability of these guys to harmonize. The vocals along with the great instrumentation, made the group a natural for doing covers of many popular country rock hits. This in turn made ACR one of the areas most popular groups.

Take a listen to these demo tracks which were recorded at Universal Recording Studios in Chicago. You will see a polished musical perfection that could have made the jump to the big time.
